Namaste Nepal Community Association's (NNCA) Accounting Policy:
NNCA (Namaste Radio) has a transparent accounting system in place. Each expense is approved by a process of checks and balances. Any and all expense is solely related to the organization's activity. Any expense between CAD 100 - 200 has to be approved by the Treasurer prior to its disbursement. Expense over CAD 200 has to be approved by the Board prior to its disbursement. Unless and otherwise ordered by the Board of Directors, the fiscal year of the organization is the calendar year. The Treasurer and Book Keeper are fully responsible for handling and management of the organization's accounts and records. Article 5.5 of NNCA By-Laws clearly states the duties of the Treasurer and Book-keeper. They receive, and give receipt for, monies due and payable to NNCA from any source whatsoever. The Treasurer and Book Keeper, by NNCA By-Laws, are required to produce appropriate financial reports in the Annual General Meeting (AGM).
At any time a member of NNCA has the right to question on financial issues.
At last, Namaste Radio Board of Directors shall try their best to allocate funds only where deemed necessary.
